Slick Google Map Plugin for WordPress

I have renamed my Google Map plugin from ‘Simple Google Map Plugin’ to ‘Slick Google Map’ and uploaded it to the WordPress.org plugin site. It is now under review, but hopefully will soon be available via the normal wordpress.org plugin site.

For long time I have used the Comprehensive Google Map Plugin by Alexander Zagniotov. Unfortunately, it has been abandoned by the author, and as last step migration routines and warnings to a commercial product (Map Markers Pro) have been added. I am not willing to pay that much, so I decided to fork the original plugin, rename it to “Slick Google Map Plugin“, and try to keep in working with future versions of WordPress.

I cannot guarantee that I will be able to implement lots of new features, but at least I have removed the warnings and export code, so that it looks like before.
